HVAC can't live without it...
Okay, so here I go again. It is my heartfelt desire to be a blogger...why? To encourage people....quite possibly this could be my 100th attempt at blogging. I was once again thwarted in my recent attempt when my beloved mother fell ill with Pneumonia and then my grandmother died and my son got an infection and to boot I got sick myself. During all this I started really wondering what I want to write about....the answer...LIFE....and what I learn day by day...through the big and the little things...I will always be busy...there will always be an excuse...so I've learned now is the time...I have to start somewhere....I have to just start...write about anything. The first thing that comes to mind even. Stop worrying about whether or not anyone will listen or whether or not I will say something foolish (as I undoubtedly will at some point)...just start...I was just reading a blog yesterday (chattingatthesky.com >>> love her) and she was talking about how each thing you've done in life prepares you for something else...so I have to wonder have all my travels, adventures, jobs, friendships, family living prepared me to put myself out there and write if that is something I want to do...well here it goes....today on a practical level I learned (or rather was reminded) that I LOVE my HVAC. Tonight it has once again come to my rescue. A few weeks ago my precious 6 year old knocked a flower vase off of a shelf...glass...water...from here to eternity and 5 carefree, wandering kiddos...what to do, what to do....oh yes, I remember I have that never been used, what on earth WOULD I EVER need an HVAC for in the shed out back. Out I go in the dark with my flashlight to retrieve it. The HVAC in action is a beauty to behold. In 5 minutes the chaos has been literally sucked away. I had every intention of returning it to its home when lo and behold there was another mess to clean up and then another....as that is the way of the world with kids. So it now holds a prominent place right in the middle of my kitchen. I have a firm belief that every home with kids should have one. It will suck up ANYTHING...seriously...I'm talking curtains right off of the windows baby. Why this post tonight you ask...when the vase happened weeks ago? Well tonight my hubby knocked a glass of water off the counter and there it was another glass and water disaster...as he looked down in dismay shouting out warnings to the surrounding children...I ran in....HVAC to the rescue...5 minutes and it was back to business as usual... there you have it folks. HVAC's are indispensable...now all I need to solve is how to conceal this huge contraption that has not (and probably never will) make its way out of my kitchen...and it really is not pretty...any ideas?
